Our Website Design Wins An International Award

Columbus Metropolitan Library learned today that we won a Gold Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. We entered the website redesign -- the previous website design had been austere and out of alignment with our new brand. The Hermes Award had 4000 entries from around the world and only 40 or so received a Gold.

One of the highlights of our new web design is the high profile we give our staff. We have dilligently taken high quality photos of our staff as the key element of our brand. Our key differentiator in a sea of information. The power of those photographs has been incredible. I tagged along on a class visit with one staff members whose face was plastered around the school -- in CML fliers -- and he hadn't even been to that school before. Kids greeted him like he was a rock star!

So here's a link to our website: columbuslibrary.org

This is our second Hermes. We won last year for our annual report.
